Introduce Boxing To Your Children's Fitness Lifestyle

What are the benefits of introducing Boxing into your fitness lifestyle? Over several years of coaching, children coming into boxing think they are in the best shape of their life. This may actually be true and the child may be a physical marvel, but after a boxing session they question if they are in the best shape of their lives. This is normally due to the client feeling exhausted, sore and beat after an hour of boxing training. Let me put your mind at ease and tell you that they are not out of shape. Instead they are using different muscles that you aren’t used to using very often. If your arms feel heavy after punching for ten minutes straight? No worries, there are fast twitch muscles that aren’t being utilized during your regular workout. Your child's exercise progress is going just fine setting aside certain days focused on specific muscle groups to work on like leg day, arm day, back and shoulders. In order to improve in boxing I would recommend adding a boxing cardio day, MMA cardio day, or a day that will focus on explosive muscle or fast twitch muscle exercises. Those would be exercises focused on a fast thrust or burst of force like a boxer throwing a quick punch. Trust me, if you think throwing punches for an hour will make them sweat, couldn’t be more wrong. Try punching with proper technique. that will utilize your entire body to throw punches, bob and weave, and dance around the ring.
